Turning up the intensity in Edenvale for the 2024 edition

Just like a good cup of coffee fuels hard workers throughout the day, the right workwear keeps them comfortable and protected on the job. That's why, once again, our team at Jonsson Workwear proudly hosted Coffee Magazine's TAMP THAT Barista Game Show – a celebration of the skilled baristas who fuel the hard workers that we outfit.

After two years of heating things up in Durban, TAMP THAT made its way up to Johannesburg for the third edition of the coffee brew-off. The caffeine-fuelled event was hosted on Saturday, 18 May at Jonsson Workwear in Edenvale. For two exciting hours, the store was abuzz with competing teams and enthusiastic supporters. 

The setup: Six teams comprising four baristas brought their espresso A-game, with some of the biggest names in local and global coffee being represented, including Starbucks, Seattle Coffee, vida e caffé and Grumpy’s Café.

After competing in a series of brewing challenges and high-intensity games, Edenvale locals Grumpy’s Café nabbed the top spot, making them Jozi’s TAMP THAT big shots. We savoured every moment of hosting the third edition of TAMP THAT while giving SA’s top brewers a stage to showcase their tamping talents and pouring prowess.

With our iconic store as the event’s backdrop, supporters and contestants were able to explore our extensive workwear offering on the day.
