Product Advice

Last Update: Wed 13 Nov 2024

To ensure your Jonsson Workwear garments stand the test of time, it's essential to follow these wash care guidelines. Each of our garments comes with a label attached, providing specific care instructions. By following these guidelines, you'll extend the life of your workwear and maintain its quality for years to come.

Easy-to-follow Wash Care Steps

Drying

Fasten all buttons and hang inside out, especially dark colours. If garments are left out in the sun for an excessive amount of time, they will be bleached by the sun. Please avoid tumble drying where possible.

Ironing

Do not iron any prints or reflective tape. No direct heat should be applied to these trims (prints or reflective tape.) When ironing, iron on the reverse side to prevent shining. Cottons are best ironed whilst still damp.

How To reduce creasing

Hang up garment after wearing. Fasten zips and buttons to help the garment keep its shape. Jackets should be placed on a hanger when not being worn. Hang washed garments on a hanger whilst damp and minor creases should drop out.

Stain removal

Always carefully remove stains before washing or drying as heat can make stains permanent.

Never leave garments wet. Ensure clothes are thoroughly rinsed to prevent residual soap from accelerating colour loss when exposed to sunlight.

Remember – machine washing is preferable to harsh hand washing. Avoid harsh soaps and bleaches, notorious for fading colours. Instead, opt for trusted washing powders. While fabric softeners can be tempting, use them sparingly as they can weaken fibres.

ECO-FRIENDLY LAUNDRY ROOM TECHNOLOGY

The implementation of our innovative laundry room has transformed our approach to manufacturing. Not only are we making our workwear even better with every wash, we're achieving major reductions in water usage, as well as energy and carbon emissions.
